We begin our process with potential clients through an informal face-to-face meeting. At our first meeting we simply want to get to know one another. We will explain how a relationship with our independent investment advisory firm may differ from what you currently employ, but usually leave in-depth discussion of how we invest to a later date. We will of course answer any specific questions you may have. Usually, we request that you bring in whatever financial statements you may wish to go over, a rough outline of your current income and expenses, and a general overview of what you need your investments to do for you, in both your short and long term time horizons.
If you feel you would like to pursue hiring us as your private portfolio manager, we will plan a second meeting. Before that meeting we will conduct an in-depth analysis of the aggregate of your current investments. We will then give you a report on your holdings, and a deeper explanation of exactly how we use a value oriented investment strategy to meet your future needs. We will explain our in-house proprietary research methods, and how it all works together towards realizing your goals.
Many people are hesitant to begin this exploratory process because of costs, however we are never paid until we are hired. We do not charge hourly rates. We are only paid by clients after they have decided to hire us, and then only in arrears. We do not charge anything in advance.
